By Offering
Original Hot Yoga is our core offering. We are the only schools in the Pittsburgh area that offer this therapeutic style of Hatha Yoga from northern India consisting of 26 postures or “asanas” and two breathing exercises that became popular in the early 1970s. Challenging and invigorating, this style of yoga is practiced in a room heated to over 100 degrees. Each posture is held and repeated in a set sequence in order to maximize the health benefits. The practice is suitable for beginners if they don’t have conditions that high temperatures can aggravate. The benefits of hot yoga include improved overall health, weight loss, reduced stress, increased range of motion, and a reduction in anxiety and depressive symptoms. Intermediate Hatha, Fusion, and the 84 Asanas are all branches of this style of yoga that develop the standard 26&2 sequence more deeply so you can explore your movement potential.
Vinyasa Yoga is our second foundation and is a dynamic, fun class with the core principle of moving with breath. Stemming from the Ashtanga System, these classes provide a wide variety of techniques to help you connect your mind and body. This approach tends to be more “athletic” and use more upper body strength.
Slow Flow and Yin are great starting points for those seeking gentler movement but still enjoy a challenge. Both styles of classes are very deliberate and make conscious use of stillness, building resilience through longer holds and deeper stretching. This opens areas especially rich in connective tissues, which can be highly effective in reducing tension that is held deep within the body, as well as stress.

Original Hot Yoga
300 RYT
This immersive training will supercharge your practice and get you ready to step onto the podium as an official 26&2 Original Hot Yoga Teacher.
As one of the few in-person “immersion style” trainings still available in this style of yoga, Zeb and his team will help you grow as a practitioner as well as a teacher. Training will be held 6 days per week with a full practice schedule, posture clinics, lectures on anatomy, developing your voice, dialogue analysis, business and ethics, yoga philosophy, mental health and wellness, and accommodating injuries.
Spaces are limited. This Teacher Training is registered through Yoga Alliance and includes 300+ hours of Training Time. After graduating you will be able to apply for your 300 RYT certification. Combine this certification with the Intermediate/84 Asanas Training (200 RYT) to obtain your 500 RYT status with Yoga Factory.
Intermediate/84 Asanas
200 RYT
This immersive training will allow you to deepen your connection to the Ghosh lineage and prepare you to effectively lead a public class at an intermediate level (54 asanas) or advanced level (full original 84 asanas).
This “immersion style” training can be completed as either the Intermediate 54 (first 100 Hours) OR Advanced 84 (second 100 Hours) Continuing Education Intensive, or as a full certification program (200 Hours). Trainees will learn a set Intermediate level sequence that is structured as a bridge between the 26&2 Beginner’s series and the 84 Asanas. Those who continue into the 84 Asana program will learn to break down this challenging sequence into themes that allows you to teach it to the public in a 90-minute format (set beginning and ending sequence, with options in the middle). Training will be held 6 days per week with a full practice schedule, posture clinics, lectures on anatomy, developing your voice, yoga philosophy, and accommodating injuries.

Teacher Training FAQ
What should I bring?
When preparing for travel, please remember to bring with you:
- Your own yoga mat that you will use for the duration of the training
- Plenty of yoga clothes (we recommend at least seven outfits, as you will not have time to launder daily)
- 1-2 nicer outfits for our opening and closing gatherings
- Notebooks, journals, your texts (see the your specific training’s required reading list), and your dialogue (for the RYT 300 program)
- Comfortable, light clothing to wear for lectures and posture clinics (you may be asked to demonstrate a posture at any time, so always be prepared!)
- Any other small cushions or blanket you may like for lectures and postures clinics to keep you comfortable.
What do you provide?
There will be wireless internet access available, should you choose to bring a laptop to do any work, etc. between lectures or clinics. Yoga towels will be provided for practicing only (not for showers). If you are a heavy sweater and require extra towels, we recommend bringing them with you (2-4 back-ups are recommended).
What are my expectations as a trainee?
Etiquette is an important part of your yoga practice, and will be important to maintain and uphold for others as you transition into the role of a teacher. You are an example for other students in the room; practice stillness in and in between postures, maintain calm steady breath, and focus on the present moment.
Electronic devices (watches, beepers, phones, etc.) will not be permitted in classes. You will be expected to assist with clean up after classes, and maintain the studio space as if it were your own.
You will also be expected to practice without water. This is an exercise in helping you remain present while you practice; water is a distraction from your breath. We recommend trying to practice without water, if you don’t already, for several weeks before attending teacher training.
Specifically for the Original Hot Yoga Training Program: You will be expected to have the dialogue memorized by the time you arrive for the immersion portion of the training (this is the purpose of the time spent in the pre-immersion clinics the 10 weeks prior to the intensive). You will be assessed on this memorization very early in your training process. If you require extra time for memorization, we have a list of techniques available for you. If your studio owner needs clarification on anything included in our dialogue, please have them email us.
How does tuition work? Is there a refund policy?
Your deposit for the teacher training ($500) is nonrefundable. Once this is received, preliminary training materials will be provided. Please see the refund policy on the Yoga Alliance website for more information about tuition. Payment plans are available upon request and very flexible. All tuition must be paid in full no later than 30 days prior to when the intensive training portion begins.
Do I have to prepare anything before training starts?
Trainees will have additional reading and written homework due on or before the beginning of the immersion which will include an online anatomy curriculum and evaluation, assigned yogic texts (which you must purchase separately), and written papers (which will be evaluated for feedback).
Specifically for the Original Hot Yoga Training Program: Your tuition includes live remote sessions (one week night, one weekend) for two hours each, for 10 weeks leading up to the immersion period. Sessions will focus on rehearsing, fine-tuning, and testing dialogue.
Where do we fly to?
Participants will fly into Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) which is 20-30 minutes from the Yoga Factory. Flights from most major U.S. cities are about $400 or less round trip. Plan to arrive the day prior to the first date listed as the start of your immersion training (as training day begins early in the morning), and depart very late the day of (or the day after) your immersion has concluded.
Where will we stay?
YFTT can provide local recommendations for housing depending on your needs, but housing costs are on your own.
